Spiffy Magic Item suggestions please help

I'm looking for something useful to a sorceror 4/ favored soul 4/mystic theurge 3

The group is happening upon "help" and will be given a magic item that will be of use to them

The rest of the group is a paladin6 /hunter of the dead 5 - angelhelm from magic item compendium)
Ranger 11 (twf style) - still undecided, maybe gloves of dex since he can only use the prone attack feat he took when cat's graced
Cleric 11 peripat of wisdom +2 or most likely +4
Bard 11 - +1 bow of songs from magic item compendium

I think the Mystic Theurge already has a +2 cloak of charisma so I'm looking for something else...

Tangent: Does the MT in that group feel... well... underpowered? I suppose the rest of the group aren't exactly min-maxed power houses, but at 11th level and only having 3rd level spells, while the cleric has 6th level spells... that would bug me.
 


It's a new replacement character. He's really digging the flexibility....

I think he's somewhat underpowered... but he wanted to play a MT just to see how it would be

He probably would have been better off being a cleric 3/ wizard 3 but then you suffer from MAD

Well the other thing is, this is a replacement character that's been through 1 session. I just offered to let him retool to wizard 3/clr 3/mt 5 and it sounds like he's going to take my up to it.

That allows him to be effectively a wizard 8/ cleric 8 and he took practiced spell caster twice as his first level feats so he'll be keeping up on the caster level front, just not the spell caster level front...
 

A staff would be nice, if he's got the caster level then something with "higher level" cleric an wizard spells in it.

Give them some higher level options.

I'd probably tend towards some utility spells and probably a one off wish/miracle that destroyed the staff (but thats just me)
 


I'd ask for a Metamagic Rod, something along the lines of Maximize, Empower, or Sculpt spell. Always handy for a main-line spellcaster to have, and it would help out his damage in comparison to the rest of the group.
