I wonder what that's all about -- Yahoo! is reporting a big spike in searches for UFOs, especially concentrated in west coast metropolitan areas.

It's said that "the truth is out there" -- a maxim that's (almost) always true when it comes to search. However, seeking the truth can be daunting and if you have a sneaking suspicion that you're not alone in searching on the subject of UFOs, you're correct. We hovered over the data and found queries on UFOs are up 14% over the past month. But who's buzzin' about those unidentified objects in the sky? Turns out, it's a West Coast thing -- with three of the top four metros for UFO searches floating in from the Golden State. And in another interesting twist, UFOs are a guy thing -- a whopping three-quarters of UFO searches come from sky gazing dudes.

Doesn't this always happen the closer we get to July 4? Maybe they think Independence Day was true and are prepping. ;)

Maybe it has to do with the 4400 show returning to the air. It's themed on UFOish abductions in that region.

Could be the Prophet Yahweh ordeal. The summoning period was supposed to begin June first and end July fifteenth. It's about a month in now and that's all taking place around the Nevada area I'm pretty sure.
