Spiritual Weapon vs. The Ethereal

Blech, after thinking about it, looking at the spell this way could be ugly. That would mean that this spell can defeat Mirror Image, Blur, and other defensive spells.

So if I cast this on a Mage and then next round the mage casts Mirror Image, the Spritual Weapon would stop attacking the mage it was targeted on?

My spell was aready cast. Im not targeting tht mage anymore. He is under the effects of the spell. Why would his new Mirror Image change that?

Remember its not a actaul weapon. Its a spell.

No, you misread me. I said that Spiritual Weapon would DEFEAT Mirror Image, Blur, Invisibility, and other defensive spells.

Why?

Mirror Image is an illusion. The Spiritual Weapon doesn't "see". Therefore, the Spiritual Weapon will continue to attack the real caster of Mirror Image no matter how much shuffling goes on. It won't have to deal with the 20% miss chance from Displacement due to Blur, and it won't have to deal with the 50% miss chance from Invisibility.
