(SPOILER CAUTION) A lot of questions about Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Hey there, Dalin. Nice to meet you.
Thank you for posting that link. I'll check it out.

I also hope people here on ENWorld will continue the discussion. We have a lot of fine people here.

Why doesn't Willow restor Xander's eye? Well, maybe she does, just not during the program. Remember that Willow isn't just scared about addiction. We are shown that The First has the capability of mucking about with Willow's mojo. Would you want your greatest enenmy to have a say in the magic that regrows body parts on your best friend?

Plus, as a symbolic thing - Xander is in part an Odin figure. He gives up an eye to gain wisdom. You can't just go and regrow such a sacrifice.

The First could have destroyed Buffy and gang piecemeal when Buffy was evicted, yes. But that'd hardly be the point. We aren't talking about a garden-variety bad-guy, for whom any win is considered a success. We are talking about the First Evil. For such an entity, how the win is accomplished is important. A certain style and panache are required, so taking the easy way out isn't necessarily it's first choice.

And why didn't Willow restore Xander's lost eye? She obviously had truly enormous power.
It has previously been established that magic isn't very good at fixing things. In season 5, someone makes the suggestion that they could use magic to fix Joyce's tumor, but they don't because magic sucks at doing things like that.

Buffy was pretty inconsistant about this. At least once, Willow healed herself via some sort of meditative trance, and she magically removed bullet fragments from Buffy (after Warren shot her).

An easy handwave would be to say that it's possible to (a) stop bleeding and (b) accellerate natural healing (which seemed to be what Willow did to herself, and what she did to Buffy when she pulled out the bullets), but difficult/impossible to recover lost body parts or cure diseases.

Heck, removing bits of bullets isn't healing. It's simple physical manipulation. Telekinesis is something we know Willow can do. Actually mending the flesh torn asunder by the bullet's entry is healing.

Yeah, but Buffy appeared to be quite spry after having the bullet removed. I mean, yeah, Slayers heal fast but not THAT fast.

Blah. Bite me.
You really need to learn how to express yourself better. "I didn't like it," is just as easy to say as, "it sucked," and not nearly as offensive or likely to cause a flamewar.

Regarding the First becoming corporeal: The First said (and you can believe it or not) that when its army of vampires was released, they would start siring or killing humans. When there were as many vampires as humans, it would become corporeal. According to the First, in one of its taunts at Buffy.
Do you happen to know which episode that was in?
(still doesn't explain why this had anything to do with the Anomaly, but I've never heard it before, so I'm curious.)
Thanks.
And I still want to know why they had to wait until the Hellmouth was open before releasing the Slayer-hood on the potentials...

When the Uber was first released (and as a singular entity nearly killed them all, before they became Wussy in Numbers) it was a major event, why didn't the first just keep cranking them out?
That lady that tried to kill Xander didn't seem to have much trouble.

Heck, line up the sacrifices and start the plan!
