Spontaneous Casting Feats and Spirit Shamans

How do you guys think the two would mix?

The biggest limitation to the Spirit Shaman is his small spells known per day, but with these feats you'd be pretty much boosting it from 3 to 5.

After playing a multiclass Spirit Shaman, the limited spells prepared weren't such a big deal. Sure, I can only prepare Barkskin as my only 2nd level spell. But I then cast it on everybody every day. Same with other buffs.

And blowing away incorporeal undead is tons of fun!

As to your question, yeah that's a good idea.

They don't work together.

Spontaneous Summoner says: "You can spontaneously cast summon nature's ally spells (from your class spell list) just as a druid can."

The Druid's Spontaneous Casting ability says: "A druid can channel stored spell energy into summoning spells that she hasn’t prepared ahead of time. She can "lose" a prepared spell in order to cast any summon nature’s ally spell of the same level or lower."

The Spirit Shaman is a spontaneous caster. They don't have any prepared spells to convert into summons.

Semantics, really.

For better or for worse DnD is a game where semantics is rather important.

Not that I'd necessarily want to prevent a player from having the abilities, but if it's prohibited by RAW then DM approval would be necessary.

Personally I haven't run a spirit shaman yet so I can't comment (but I may have a cohort soon).

Which Spontaneous Casting feats are you referring to? The one that works with Action Points to let you swap a prepared spell for another one?
