Spring Attack question

I was wondering if anyone out there knows, does Spring Attack allow a character to enter a space occupied by a creature without provoking an AoO?

Say I wanted to go through a creatures space(s) to get around the other side to setup a flank or maybe the creature takes up all the space in a hallway and I want to get on the other side and attack him. Spring Attack seems to allow this but I'm not sure it was intended that way.

I don't see how spring attack implies you can go through an enemy's space. Now I could see using spring attack, moving to within 5 feet or enemy, making the DC 25 tumble check to get through his space, attacking, and then using the rest of your movement to get out of range of his attack - assuming you have enough movement for all of that.

You cannot enter or move through a space occupied by an enemy normally. Spring Attack does not allow this either. Tumble does.

The only question would be, if you fail the DC 25 Tumble check, whether Spring Attack would then deny the opponent the chance to make an AoO against you... ;)

Moving through a Square
Opponent: You can’t move through a square occupied by an opponent, unless the opponent is helpless. You can move through a square occupied by a helpless opponent without penalty. (Some creatures, particularly very large ones, may present an obstacle even when helpless. In such cases, each square you move through counts as 2 squares.)

You can't move through a square, and Spring Attack doesn't permit it either.

What about tumbling?, you ask.

Well.

. Tumbling is part of movement, so a Tumble check is part of a move action.

You can't Tumble while Spring Attacking.

Why not?

You can take an Attack action AND a Move action in one turn.

And the Attack action is not the one that lets you move...

Spring Attack and Movement in a round.

A question has sprung (aha) in my mind, while I responded to another thread:

How much can I move during a round in which I Spring Attack?
Or
Is Spring Attacking a Standard action or a Full-round action?

There must be something I oversaw.

Thanks in advance

Because when you're Spring Attacking, you're using an attack action, and when you're Tumbling, you're using a move action. I think the two are mutually exclusive, no?

The attack action doesn't let you move, correct, but Spring Attack modifies that attack action so that it lets you move.

(i shouldn't have started that second thread since this one will probably eventually answer the question I'm asking in the other one...)

No, when you are using Spring Attack, you use a Standard (Attack) action to attack and a Move action to move.

The requirement for using Spring Attack to split your Move action into two parts is to perform an Attack action (with a melee weapon) on the same turn.
