Spycraft + BtVS + Cthulhu + Buckaroo = who needs d20 modern?

Don't know about you, but I think its a good time to be a gamer:)

I've been pouring over my Spycraft books and my Cthulhu book, and it occured to me that we've got some awesome tools to create a vast menagerie of our favorite fantasy/sci fi settings....

Spycraft can easily be tweaked to create a Buckaroo Banzai campaign.

Mixing Spycraft and Cthulhu to create an X-files like campaign, that slowly drives the agents insane.

Mixing Cthulhu or Spycraft and say, d20 Ravenloft to make a Buffy-like campaign. (There was that whole Initiative arc that'd fit in nicely)

(I realize I'm using Spycraft in a lot of these, but so far they are the best "modern" rules I've seen... so there ya go)

So my question(s) to you is... have you mixed any of these games to create some of the popular genre show or movie worlds? What has worked? Have you had any issues mixing rules from the different game books? Do you give your Cthulhu characters action dice?

Mostly, I guess I'm interested in meshing the themes and moods from one Big Book, such as Spycraft, with another, such as Cthulhu.

That, and I want a break from medieval fantasy.

Whatcha got goin' on?

Me. I need D20 Modern.

There are so many directions you could go in a modern campaign; I have no idea what I'm going to do first.

Agreed totally.

Now if only somoene found a way to do a good martial arts system for d20. That continues to be my biggest gripe. One of the few things I liked about Spycraft was they at least managed something decent for this.

I've mixed genre's, but not from these books. Cthulu meets X-Files can actually be pretty fun, though sanity rules were not in place for that. I also did modern horror adapting the world from LKH's Anita Blake novels. I still have quite a few notes left over on this for when I restart it.

Rokugan d20. But I have notes and plans for my RISK supermercs/espionage game from a couple years ago and for my modern horror LKH game and hope to shift over to one of those at some point, though neither would be in d20. Cthlulu d20 has alot of good stuff worth adapting though, and I'm hoping the d20 modern book will as well.

If you hop over to the d20 system games forum, You'll see a post I started about d20 Stargate...

My initial thougth was d20 modern.

There have been some other suggestions... Spycraft, Dragonstar, etc... Personaly, I don't feel any of the CURRENT offerings really would be ideal for Stargate, HOWEVER, Spycraft can be tweeked to work... you have to make a couple new classes, basicly, and discard a few things (The crazy tech, etc)...
