... Now, a lot of times the spooky things the PCs are investigating turn out to be nothing more than mundane bad guys putting on a good show...

I just bought the game and I now agree it is very good (I am sure you all will sleep well now:D )

Does anyone have a conversion between this and the old James Bond 007 RPG that came out in the 80's? I doubt anyone knows what I am talking about and I am just showing my age!

Do a web search... somewhere there is a site that does only spy RPGs, and I think they had plans to do some kind of conversion stuff.

Ah, here is the site I was thinking of:

http://www.modus-operandi.co.uk/

Not sure I see any conversion stuff, but they do have James Bond 007 game stuff. :) If you were showing your age then I guess I should not admit to having played the original Top Secret game... though I didn't play it until 1986. Ahem.

I'm actually working on a Top Secret/S.I. to Spycraft conversion. However, given that I've already got a James Bond 007 RPG to Top Secret/S.I. conversion I suppose you're right ;)

Seriously though, don't hold your breath for my conversion (real life et al!), but if you've already written one yourself, feel free to e-mail it to me so that it can be available to the rest of the gaming community (credit et al remains with the author).

In answer to the Spycraft/James Bond conversion question: check out Uncle Bear's site, at http://www.unclebear.com/. He has some rules posted for converting over the Fame system, and I wouldn't be surprised if he adds other stuff later.

Also, a quick heads up for those who are interested in experimenting with Spycraft. If the idea of adding superhuman powers and lots of new feats appeals to you, check out the Paragon blog, at http://cwylric.diaryland.com/

Any idea on how Spycraft would integrate into D20 Modern?

I just saw the "Borne Id". Bad Movie but it would make a good RPG.

Also is "shadow force Archer" the only setting for spycraft. I think something like a 1950's Berlin setting would be fun. I am correct "shadow force Archer" is full of super-science and magic right. I think a traditional setting would be fun. but there is probably enough out there in real world spying so a supplement like this is unneeded

You didn't like the bourne id, otherwise known as the long kiss goodnight 2(THIS TIME THE AMNESIAC IS A MAN). Dang you just can't please some people. That movie rocked. The unarmed fight scene in the movie was one of the best ever, none of that lame out of genre flying on wires slow mow crap, just a great down and dirty fight between two top notch assassins.

Quote From "The" Movie Critic
"I don't understand why people think Lord of the Rings is such a landmark film, I mean we see all of this before in a dozen cheap fantasy films."

Ahem

The Bourne Identity movie is based of the book by Robert Ludlum who was pretty much the Ian Fleming of the 80s. If anything, the Long Kiss is a homage to B I.D. with a female lead (a house wife no less).
