[Spycraft] Question...

If I actually had a spare moment, I'd come up with some conversion using Shadowrun as the template for everything.

Unfortunately, I've yet to come up with a d20 equivalent to SR's Essence ability score. I suppose you could just add it, but that would be a bit self-defeating. Perhaps something in relation to what it does.

Wired Reflexes: Increased your initiative at the cost of your overall Dexterity and/or REF checks?

Dermal Implants: Affects Charisma-based checks

Enhanced lung capacity: At the cost of all other FORT saves?

The genie has been let out of the bottle...go find it. :)

The Shadow Force Archer Campaing book, will cover some of these topics. Take a look at that the preview of Chemical Monsters form AEG.

I am not sure if they are going to put "cyber-ware" in there as well. But there are a few options:

For a particular cost, you can grant an agent a "premenate" or other wise long term gadget/implant. See the implated Bug detector. They you just have the Agent spend Gagdet points for upkeep on the item.

Do something like the "chemical" enhancemnets. Every month or so the Agent needs to do some upkeep on the item, else it goes bad. Causing more harm then good.

Add the "Essance" Mechainc from Shadowrun could also work. But I personal, would see what can be done with the current rule set.

For Ex : Wirede Reflexes --

Grants the person +4 to Initiative and +2 to Reflex rolls. (Effectively two feats). However the systme is hard on the body as it is always wierd. When surprised you do not get a chance to identify friend or foe. (Possilbe Will save to counter act) Also you need to take a drug to keep your neural pathways from over loading once a month. Skipping doses incurs a -1 Dex penality for each does missed. Once back on treatment Dex lost this way recovers at 1 point per Week.

Drasonstar has a great idea in their upcoming Galaxy Guide, which is that the user of a magic item pays the XP, not the creator. Actualy their use of this concept is for "Spellwear" Which is a step above magic tattoos.

This might be spun out to cyberwear.
