Stacking To Hit/Damage bonuses on Action Point

Interestingly if you spend the action point before you took a standard action you would get the bonus for your normal standard action too and any other attack rolls you made before your next turn (opportunity or immediate actions) :)

If you noticed a blinding flash, that was the light bulb over my head going off.

Thanks for that great tip.

O.M.F.G...

This is literally the first time I have seen something in an official FAQ that I consider completely insane. The very definition of Tactical Presence that is linked to in that FAQ says "When an ally you can see spends an action point to make an attack, the ally gains a bonus to the attack roll equal to one-half your Intelligence modifier."

In the case of Twin Strike, I ask the question, could the ally have made either part of the Twin Strike attack power without using an action point? The answer is no, therefore both parts of the Twin Strike attack power clearly receive the bonus.

Had this clear change from RAW been handled with an Errata item that said something about "the first attack", I would not complain, but as an FAQ merely explains text rather than amending it, RAW is still RAW. I'm as big a fan of RAI as anyone, but there is absolutely nothing ambiguous about Tactical Presence.
