Standstill

Been a while since I posted...I missed these boards while they were down. Anyway, on with the question.

We're tossing together some characters and my player has the idea of using Standstill (I'm not sure where this is from - a feat or a PrC ability so some help here might be needed or I might be talking out of my arse) and Power Attack together. No problems there. Good idea in my opinion.

However, with the Elusive Target feat's Negate Power ability would the Power Attack still apply to the Standstill Saving throw? Elusive Target says that "if the target uses Power Attack against you, the foe takes no bonus on the damage roll." From the end of that and since you have to roll damage to apply to the Standstill save it sounds like it would apply. Also, I think that logically it would apply also (as opposed to just through the rules).

Opinions? Where is that Standstill from?

It's from the Psionics Handbook (and the XPH), although it's a General feat.

Stand Still [General]

You can prevent foes from fleeing or closing.

Prerequisite: Str 13.

Benefit: When a foe’s movement out of a square you threaten grants you an attack of opportunity, you can give up that attack and instead attempt to stop your foe in his tracks. Make your attack of opportunity normally. If you hit your foe, he must succeed on a Reflex save against a DC of 10 + your damage roll (the opponent does not actually take damage), or immediately halt as if he had used up his move actions for the round.

Since you use the Stand Still feat in place of your attack of opportunity, you can do so only a number of times per round equal to the number of times per round you could make an attack of opportunity (normally just one).

Normal: Attacks of opportunity cannot halt your foes in their tracks.

It is still a damage roll, regardless of the fact that the target does not take any actual damage.

"the foe takes no bonus on the damage roll"

"If you hit your foe, he must succeed on a Reflex save against a DC of 10 + your damage roll"

So, the attacker does not get the damage bonus due to Power Attack in the normal attack situation and his Power Attack bonus damage does not apply to the Reflex save in the Stand Still situation.
