Star Pact Hexblades up

The star pact encounter power lacks the implement keyword. The infernal pact's power had both the implement and weapon keyword, meaning that an infernal pact warlord could just pick up implement focus and be done with it.

If they don't fix it for the star pact they sit in the same boat with swordmages needing to take both implement focus and weapon focus to cover all their attacks.

Also the at-will can't be used as an MBA

The thought phantom has an aura named eyes of the woodland? Is that an accidental carryover from the fey pact ally?

Why does star invocation have the Teleportation keyword? Looking at the flavor text and keywords, it seems like a teleport got dropped from the power's effect.

I find it funny that we are getting these articles on how to play builds of classes that we don't even have the original builds in hand yet.

The starblade still falls under the Pact Weapon rules, which states that it's a weapon that shares the powers and properties of his implement.

However, I find the Star Pact Hexblade to be radically different from his Fey and Infernal brethren. The others have a lot of incentive to utilize rods, while the Star Pact has more incentive to use Wands. This is because his striker boon applies to all damage rolls, unlike Fey & Infernal who can only apply their secondary stat bonus to warlock powers.

It's much more customizable than the other pacts and takes advantage of the Intelligence Secondary stat nicely.

I have a feeling that the Star Pact bonus to all damage rolls is a mistake in the Dragon article, along with the missing keywords. We'll know for sure once the compiled article gets uploaded.

That is called 'advertisement'.

Also funny that Star Hexblade has the perfect stats for Eladrin and Fey Hexblade for Drow...
