Star Trek Prime Directive RPG

I mean, I heard it second-hand, but they claimed to be quoting the book directly in their review. Are you saying that's not the case?

It's not in PD 1E pages 94 to 96, which is the healing chapter. So, either your source lied, was reviewing a different edition, or from an alternate dimension.
I think that may have been from GURPS Prime Directive, which is, despite the name, an entirely different game. Different concept, different rules, and different approach to rules. Not at all about Prime Teams.

No, it was definitely the Task Force Games version. They talked all about prime teams and tricodes. I guess it might have been a different edition. I think they said their version was from like '95 or '96.

If it's not in the healing rules, then it might be in the dying rules, or if there's a section for optional rules. I think they said it was supposed to be a super heroic measure for cases where you should have died, then that's when you have to go read the dictionary while everyone else gets pizza.

It may also be worth mentioning that this is a game for playing in the Star Fleet universe, which forked off from Star Trek at some point between TAS and TNG. Expect a bunch of races that you've never heard of, and notice the absence of races which you might otherwise expect. Also, these Klingons don't have head ridges.
