I know you can play in eaither first or third person, but all the screen shoots in the stragey guide shows thrid person, I hope they did not change it.

When I played it, it was all 3rd Person. I didn't actually even look for an option to change it...

I haven't heard much about this game, but it sounds great. Is it only Multi-player, or can you go through it solo?

It comes out Tuesday!!?? Awesome! I thought it wasn't out for a few months. I was expecting higher Spec requirements, actually. It's great knowing that you can run any game out there at full graphics with no lag.

I heard a rumor that the Playstation 2 version might be 3rd person only, due to the PS2 being the weakest system. One other thing I heard about it is for muliplayer its Broadband only.

Theres a review already over at ign.com. It mostly deals with the single player campaign, and it gets a decent review, but even with multiplayer they compare it unfavorably to Battlefield and Unreal Tournament:

Well, other than the processor, the memory, and the internet connection, my PC meet the other recommended specs.

BTW, does it offer single-player mode?

Ranger, how bad is your CPU compared to the specs? If you get more memory, you might be ok with the CPU. I heard there is a couple of different single player modes.

Well I read a few reviews for the PC version, and things don't look good. Supposedly, they put so much work into the single player that it is completely overdone, except for the enemy AI, which is on par with first generation Playstation. Which is not very flattering. The Multiplayer, however, is supposed to be incredibly awesome. So....buying this would mean the single player would be abysmal, but the multiplayer would really shine. Hm. I never DID play BF 1942 in single player much anyway... But I'll still wait for some reviews from my fellow ENWorld dwellers before picking it up.

I game like this is designed for multiplayer. The single player bot play IMO is just to learn the map layouts, weapons, ect. .
