Star Wars RPG timeline question

I will preface this by saying that I have not as of yet seen Revenge of the Sith.

The Star Wars RPG book (Saga edition) says that the Rise of the Empire perid covers from 32 years to 22 years before Star Wars IV: A New Hope. Some source material I have seen says the Empire officially replaced the Republic 19 years before SW4. Does the events of RotS cover a three-year period? when do the Clone Wars end?

Revenge of the Sith occurs 3 years after Attack of the Clones. The Clone War begins in the latter, and ends in the former...with the middle part being told through novels and TV series.

RotS is 19 years before A New Hope, with the Empire beginning in that year.

Actually, the queen-mother of all Star Wars chronology is Star Wars Time Tales.

Uber-detailed, fan-maintained timeline of EVERYTHING in SW, color-coded by how canonical it is. The source. Expanded Universe authors often use it.

Only bad point-- and this might point you towards the sources mentioned above-- is the sheer volume of information. It can be a lot to take in.

I ran/played in a shared Star Wars game for 2-3 years, this was our bible.
