Star Wars Saga/D&D 5th Hybrid [OOC/Rolls]

I've decided to go ahead and read the entire IC thread. It'll take a while, but I'm interested in the story so far, and it would help to see where Jor Dan fits.

Looks pretty good to me! I think the Gand may be a little taller than depicted. I'm fine with however Cal is depicted. I didn't really see him as a glasses and ponytail guy, but I get that anime tends to cleave pretty close to certain tropes to visually explain characters.

As far as the central person in the story? I think it is Jihahna. I feel like her character arc of force discovery has been the most developed and ties in most strongly to the story line we're experiencing.

Ah cool. For me, the idea that he could have glasses never occurred to me, but I I think that must be part of the benefit of having others create a visual interpretation of a character. Glasses aren't really an item you see in the star wars universe are they? But I could see Cal using them when examining things or reading maybe?

Ah, cool. I wasn't sure myself, but having an idea on the main will help.
Shayuri Kacela will only die if she dies in game. That's what I'm liking about the PBP medium. Characters don't just die because the plot dictates it. If that is going to happen, it will happen naturally... Hell, things could end with all our characters dead after this fight... Who knows...

lol, I know. I was joking about tropes. :)

OH

You meant in your thingy! Doop, my bad. Well thanks! I mean, Kacela in your thingy is your character, but it's nice to know. :)

OOC question: Force Grip indicates it requires concentration. Are those the same rules as 5E and, if so, is it possible he lost concentration when the Gand shot him?

I think I mentioned it in the Rolls and Results, but... yes it requires concentration AND he is stunned which means he is also Incapacitated so he automatically failed and lost Concentration (if he was only Reeling he would have gotten a Concentration check). Cal is no longer restrained by the Force Grip..

Hm. Rebuke and Negate Energy both use a Reaction, yeah? Does Negate Energy work for multiple attacks like the Shield spell? Or does it just work against a single triggering attack?

Well, in this case Rebuke is better then, since the Force based attack did more damage anyway. Next turn it might be the gun that does more, so having Negate would be nice. And I can use it against force lightning too, come to that.

Ok, thanks. Incidentally the roll was 24 exactly, including the use of a Force Point. Gleep. :(

It's a hard game when there's no cleric!

I guess I was more asking the order of events. The Gand shot him first, which would typically require him to make a Concentration check right then which would happen before Cal's turn. If he failed, Cal wouldn't have been restrained when his turn was up.

Maybe it is just an artifact of group initiative.

Ah I see... yea with Group initiative I kind of take things in chuncks and not individual counts as it makes things a bit more complicated. On a table top, yes he would have needed the check first, then Cal would have acted before him
