Cool, I think I am taking a level of Scoundrel then. Picking up Careful Shot, Stealth, and... a talent TBD.

Took a level of Scoundrel: +6 HP, +1 Willpower Defense, Security Tools Proficiency, Swapped PBS for Careful Shot, and picked up Fool's Luck for a talent.

Just to make sure I understand Fool's Luck... once I spend the FP, I roll 1d4+1 each time I attack (once/round) and add it to the attack, assuming I want to boost my attack. Is that correct? So it provides a variable bonus of +2 to +5 per attack.

What do we get with Level 7, GK, besides class benefits?

Does the quick-deploy folding stock count as a major or a minor upgrade?

Re Gear, the gand would like some smoke grenades (with decorative caps so they don't look too out of place?), holocapabilities on his/her wristcom, and another jetpack (A jetpack for everybody?! </Oprah voice>).

EDIT: Oh, and a Sensor Pack. He/she really wants the sensor pack!

From what I could tell, 7th level is a bit of a dead level, other than getting a +1 to your Second Wind and whatever your class gives you.

Cal would also like a few smoke grenades. They would be useful to provide concealment when he has to try to stabilize dying companions.
 


Just wondering Grenkarl if you can tell us if Malnouu ever spoke to us, or did Cal keep him sedated. Jihahna may become frustrated if she never finds out what happened or how he felt. I'm just going to add a narrative on how she felt during the two weeks.

Also, regarding equipment bonuses. Was hoping that Jihahna might be able to get just a couple of minor things, no bonuses specifically...

I was hoping for the following:

-I imagined that the scout helmet didn't physically provide any additional protection. Wondering if Jihahna could have stripped the helmet so that she instead has the visor for her low light vision and the breathing filter hanging around her neck on leather straps, the com-link ear mounted.

-I also imagine that some parts of imperial scout armor are more about making things uniform than providing any protection. I think scout armor would mainly place protection over the chest to protect the heart and a plate on the back, maybe gauntlets and boots?

I'd like Jihahna's lightsaber to be a bayonet please? (Modified shoto). That would mean it would follow the same rules as vibro-bayonets in that when used two-handed when mounted, it functions as a standard sized saber for damage, but by itself is just a shoto?

I was hoping Jihahna might also be able to mount the blade of her vibro-bayonet inside her cybernetic knee.

Function would be as it's standard vibro-dagger equiv for damage, but concealed like the old 3.5 punching dagger? Not something she necessarily plans to hide all the time, I just like the idea of her using it for finishing moves.
Blade comes up and she knees someone through the gut sort of thing.

Eventually, i'd like Jihahna to add a couple more gizmos to her arm and leg, prepper style. Specifically, to integrate her utility belt into them.

I wouldn't mind a wind up liquid cable dispenser that she can fire from either her wrist or, just to be different, from the base of her heel.

In future, when she could afford it, a short burst jet booster in her cybernetic hand and foot was something I thought might also be cool. Integrate a jetpack into said limbs, but limit its functionality. Allow for things like (with piloting check), slowfall or jump boost, but also, skidding across the ground on your back if prone and in melee, or through an opponents legs. I also like the idea of a finishing move with vibro-bayonet adding a jet-boost for the cool factor.

Cal's thought was to keep the Sith in a medically induced coma until the Jedi (or whoever was assigned) came to pick him up. There may have been a chance at the end that he would be conscious, if whoever was taking him wanted him to be that way.

But Cal also isn't going to make a unilateral decision. If the Jedi think they can keep the Sith contained, he'd wake him up.
 

All good mate. Jihahna considers herself biased, so she won't be contributing to that decision. The visits were more personal than anything else.

So for the lightsaber colors, what significance do they have? I know Kotor's whole blue=Guardian, yellow=Sentinel and green=Counselor, but what about other colors, like violet or cyan? Or is that just player choice?

OK what you get a 7th level 100% depends on what class you are taking. If this Gand is taking level one in Jedi s/he gets +6 (+Con modifier) in HP, +1 to Second Wind, +1 to all Defense bases (take the best of your other classes though so I think for this Gand it would be +1 Will Defense), gains the feat either Force Sensitive or Weapon Proficiency (lightsaber). You have to have Force Sensitive to take the class so you have to take that one. And you gain one Talent, either from the Jedi class or any of the Force Talents found in the Force section.

I would think that the quick-deploy folding stock counts as a minor upgrade.

As for additional gear remember this is a pretty small out of the way mining colony world. They don't have lots of extra stuff that you would not get from miners. You could get decoration caps (remote controlled, etc) and even some explosives here. But I doubt that any miner has much use for smoke grenades (or grenades at all), jet packs or sensor packs. You will have to go off world for that or you could order it special (use the Holovid to call in an order and have it delivered on the next transport, but it might cost extra).

You guys have some cash already (its still listed in the Rogue's Gallery I believe). The prices for most of the items you might want are on the first page. You will also get some additional credits here before we move to the next adventure, which will be partially on a more civilized world where you can also do more shopping.

For Jihahna…
Sure you can modify the helmet that way (strip out the visor and filter) and discharge the helm BUT I might think you would lose 1 point from the Fortitude bonus (I almost want to say from the Reflex also but not 100% sure). You have less armor and in D20 armor is sort of a full body thing and when you have less of it you don’t have as much protection. BUT at the same time is kind of just flavor etc.

Think of the Scout armor as “similar” but of a different type than the Scout armor seen worn by the Stroomtrooper speeder bike pilots in Return of the Jedi. That is sort of what it is based on as the Sith Empire is very similar (But totally different!!!) then the Galactic Empire that we see in the movies.

I am fine with your lightsaber acting like a vibro-bayonet, when used two-handed and mounted on your blaster it does the base damage and when used one handed like a blade it does the same lightsaber damage.

Hmm the vibro-bayonet in her cyber-knee is interesting but the blade is going to be sticking out of her leg when she walks around. It’s not a switchblade :) although I can see you trying to modify it so that it could be… I am fine with you mounting there per-say BUT when and if you fall prone it might mess it or you up…

For tgalssy, normally lightsaber colors are indistinguishable from each other. They provide you nothing cool other than style :) hehe. Now the heroes found some special crystals when they were leaving the Infinity Gate and these will grant those who craft their own lightsaber with them a minor bonus. It does not matter what color you use, you decide what you want and what color you want.

This is mostly for Kacela and Jihahna (and Reks who left with a couple) but if after you adventure with them I might rule they had some extras that they can share with you so that you can incorporate one of these minor boons into your own. We can already assume that you have crafted your own lightsaber (it is part of being a Jedi) and that you already gain the base bonus of +1 to your attack rolls with it. This applies only to a lightsaber that you, yourself have crafted.
