Star Wars Saga RPG: Square Book? WTF

2) Lets see you print your pirated copies now, suckas! :p

It would certainly hinder those attempting to scan it in with a letter-size scanner, but it wouldn't really affect it's ability to be printed, as it would just need to be reduced by a small percentage to fit.

I agree that having a square book larger than standard books is somewhat annoying when you are filling it up your library. However, I already have the DnD 30 years commemoration book, which is the same format, and I think that variety is good, once in a while. If that triggers a feel of "new excitement" to my reading, all the better.

1. It looks awesome and really stands out.
2. It can more easily be put with RPG books and digest sized books, yet stand out against both.
3. It lies flatter on a table.
4. It is less intimidating than a full sized book, so good for newbies.

I feel the need to point out that before RPGs became a standard size, they were a rather nonstandard size for books.

I've owned several non-pamphlet sized game books, as well.

SAGA edition is now the single most comfortable RPG book I have to sit/lie down anywhere and read. It doesn't feel awkward at all. Old sized RPG books do feel weird. Hence why my previous favorite was the digest sized Spirit of the Century.

I'm still not sold, but not turned off either. Oh yeah, there is a sample character sheet in the book too. Square character sheets. Try that one out yall!
