Star Wars trilogy

The relase date for the OT DVD's is like Sept. 21, next month.
Methinks Welverin is making a comment about Lucas changing his mind. Especially since Lucas said for a very long time that he wouldn't release the OT on DVD at all until after Ep III.

Any chance of seeing the original versions of the trilogy without all of the extra crap added in?
Yeah! I dont like those featurettes, like those behind-the-scene documentaries, the interviews, the outtakes, how special effects work, and those game demos you can run on your PC. Oh, and dont get me started on those Chapters menu.

:p

Right on! I want my finger to feel blister after blister of holding down the fast-forward button on my dvd remote to get to the parts that I love...

Seriously.

Sometimes I just sit there and watch the entire film on 4x fast forward just to see the final fight scenes. And for commentaries? Me, 2 robot buds and 6 pack will do juuuust fine....

You think correctly. In fact I'm pretty sure it extended to Ep1&2 as well.

Another example of George caving to fan pressure is him allowing the book and game people to bring Boba Fett back post Jedi despite the fact he considered him dead.

It's this type f behavior that has me firmly convinced that the original versions of the first three movies will end up on dvd.

Yeah, after several strokes.

Han Solo: "Ugh! What is this goo on my foot?"

* Han shoots Greedo, whose fly is open *

There is more precedent here as well. His good buddy Steven released the original version of ET after fan outrage. Birds of a feather and all that.

I was in Lake Tahoe this past week on Vacation (absolutely beautiful) and I stumbled into a Antique store. Low and behold, there was the Original Trilogy in VHS format for $35.00. It was in pretty good condition from the looks of it. I couldn't tell how good the quality of the tapes were, so I passed.
