About time, too.

It will be interesting to see where they go with this game. I haven't looked at the sites yet. Do they go crazy on the graphics and stuff, or do they make it accessible like the original StarCraft? They have a lot too live up to in terms of gameplay, but I am certainly looking forward to the new plot as well. The books haven't really explored very much, other than perhaps Shadow of the Xel'Naga. Actually, it will be interesting if they actually take any of that stuff into account in the plot, or if it makes the conversion to non-canon. In any case, since its Blizzard, even if they dont live up to all expectations, it will still be a great game. That much is assured.

Definitely going to have big shoes to fill. When I was in Korea last year they had at least two channels devoted to Starcraft, and as I watched it, I thought how dated it looked.

The graphical style is typical Blizzard, including the use of vibrant primary colors. It didn't look that demanding for potential system specs.

The first game was released in 1998, so I guess they'll aim for a 10th anniversary launch. I certainly do wish it would come out this year. Although I don't know if the world could handle so many fantastic games being released within the same two-month window.

I first got into Blizzard RTSs with Warcraft II. Each RTS from Blizzard I've played since then has been better than the last. Here's hoping SCII continues the trend and tops Warcraft III!
