Starcraft RPG: Who would be interested?

Would you throw down you hard earned money on a Starcraft RPG?

  • Nope... I can do it with d20 Future, Gurps, or any other generic system.

I've played the Starcraft Alternity module a few times, and I enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind seeing an updated Alternity system with an enhanced Starcraft module or supplement.

Secondly: How about Warhammer40k RPG, since everything Blizzard has made is just a ripoff of Games Workshop properties, only with lamer fluff?

Actually, they are rip offs of the same book. At least SC was willing to go with the Arachnid/Skinny/Human trio from the source material.

And I reiderate my previous comment that I would enjoy a SC setting book and add as long as it is a minimum of 300 pages.

Nope. I would have been REALLY interested back when TSR/WotC teased us with the Starcraft Alternity mini-game but now? Not so much. I think that Starcraft's 'hotness' as IP has cooled off considerably since then.

This is what I was thinking. There's already a lot of Starship Troopers fluff; it doesn't take much effort to turn it into Starcraft instead.

And everyone should start as MI - I mean marines. Awesome marines, who are clearly made for great things, but marines nonetheless.

In answer to the question, I'd be interested if it was largely background, with options for different time periods from the SC-verse; our DM has modified an existing system to run ST which would also fit SC perfectly well, so I wouldn't be too worried about the crunch, unless it was outstanding.
