Sorry, for the long reply, was rushing to put these up, just before my lunch break. Yes, her character is gone from the show. I heard or read on how the persona pass away. Maybe, her name was left there to pay homage to her work. As an actress. Or, someone is trying to work some voodoo to bring her back into the show. I'm just guessing on that part.

Holey smack! she is just 5'2"...and she looka kind of tall in the show.

It was probably for a more specific reason, just had that capability. If Anubis could avoid its effects, the Ancients probably could have too.

Daniel Jackson as a Merlin-type for the next season would be, well, interesting. The whole "genius who was a demigod but can't remember anything" bit is kind of weak.

I liked the episode. Maybe Daniel will stay dead this time.

No, she was the voice of the scientist who worked with the ancient Asgard body. Shanks is Thor.
