Stargate SG-1 {Spoiler Talk} 3.4.05

Definitely one of the best episodes of late. SG-1 does good action. A standout moment for me was when the replicators froze up, followed by O'Neill and the Col. looking at each other, and then they go back to shooting them. Priceless. :)

It was probably for a more specific reason, just had that capability. If Anubis could avoid its effects, the Ancients probably could have too.

Only after they ascended, but it loks like they built that before they did so.

Its possible that when they ascended they still treated it like normal life. At least, there was the indication from the Ancient girl in an Atlantis episode that there was at least SOME gap between "We ascended!" and "We won't interfere!". This could easily have been built within that.

Mutual? No one threatened the Ancients before the Wraiths as far as I've seen.

It is entirely possible that there are other enemies that we aren't aware of. There's alot we still don't know about the ancients.

Speaking of the wraith, am I the only person who thinks they're kind of a stupid enemy? I mean they're practically immortal because of their ridiculous regenerative ability, their makeup is worse than that of the Dominion, and their ships sound pretty lame when they're cruising through the atmosphere sucking up people to feed on. Don't get me wrong, I like Atlantis, and I'm all for a good enemy, but the concept behind the Wraith just isn't very good.

Seeing him in the preview for the next episode really kills the tension. Wonder how he got out of that one, though...

I'm more wondering how they are going to explain us not getting to keep a few of those uncrewed hataks.

I agree. They are just not that scarey and I don't find them that different from the System Lords.

I don't even find the system lords scary. They are definitely formidable, but not scary. OK, maybe Anubis, but otherwise not scary.
