Starship Deck Plans

I have a friend that likes to work on starship deckplans. He isn't a professional and he doesn't use premium software. I'm pretty sure all he uses is MS Paint.

Anyway, I though I'd share his most recent works.

1/8/09 Update; Sculpting Ships

I just checked my email and in it was the following:

This is the ship from Cheaters Never Win 1. (One in a trilogy of stories he's writing.)

I missed the MicroMachine Beagle I made years ago (I lost it when we moved from downtown to the new place), and I wanted to rebuild it. I was tinkering with some gray Sculpey, and shaped it into a really good base for the Beagle's engineering section (Based off of the Nostromo from Alien, and the spherical command section of the Olympic-Class Pasteur). I realized how good I did, so I trimmed it up, straightened it, then baked the body to harden it. The hard part; add the engine components and upper weapon section. Well, I was watching Jaws while I cut and shaped the putty, and when the movie was over, all that was left was the painting. Here's a pic of the unfinished engineering section.

And here are pics of the partialy finished version (I need to touch up the sphere, paint the hangar doors, and add details.
