A Star-Studded Cast

Our final installment in the blog for the Judge Child supplement for Judge Dredd & the Worlds of 2000 AD delves into the last chapter in the book. So far, we've taken a look at the inner workings of the Justice Department, character creation, equipment, the planets on offer and how to approach them, how to run the Judge Child as a campaign, plus two new scenarios linked to the story line itself. This week, we take a look at the various characters that you can expect to meet during your tour of the galaxy. It's time to explore a Star-Studded Cast!

As an epic quest that spans Judge Dredd's known galaxy and beyond, the Judge Child saga introduces a huge cast of species and individuals. While it would be hard to fit them all into the pages of a sourcebook-sized supplement, we certainly have tried! Presented in our familiar alphabetical format, the entries in this chapter provide excellent fuel interstellar campaigns and scenarios.

Some of the stars of the show, such as the Angel Gang (pictured above), are included, as are some other big names, such as Murd, Grunwalder, Black Boab, and Owen Krysler - the Judge Child - himself.

Of course, it wouldn't have been a complete cast without including the true stars of the show: the Judges themselves. Which means you will also find stats and info for Judges Dredd, Hershey, Larter, Lopez and Winslow. These entries will allow you to introduce the characters in any campaign or scenario, perhaps as seasoned Judges or, in the case of Hershey at least, as rising star on her way to the ultimate position in Justice Department. Particularly if you run the scenario in the book that involves her and she ends up looking favourably on the Judges her saved her from Fink.

Alongside the big names of the story, the NPC chapter also includes stats for unnamed NPCs such as an Alien Constable, Gallipardan Laz Lancers, Mutant Horses, Brothers of Trash, and a host of robots from the robot free state of Grunwald.

And that brings us neatly to the end of the Judge Child saga! Will your players refuse to return with Owen Krysler also? Or will they bring an insidious evil back with them? Make sure you play through the campaign when it releases to find out!
