Outside of North America, I doubt many people know who he is. I didn't until I saw this thread and looked him up on Wikipedia.
I've seen his speech on the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. It's on youtube, and recommended viewing. "You write 'Ooh, they're just re-arranging deck chairs on the titanic.' First of all, that is a terrible metaphor. We're not sinking, we are soaring! If anything, they're rearranging deck chairs on the Hindenburg."

That's so counter-productive. You really want curry favour with your future Absolute Ruler. The more parties you invite him to, the less torture chambers he invites you in. And with "invite", I mean, "drag into, kicking and screaming."
