Steven Speilberg's Taken wins the Emmy

One thing for sure, those folks at SCI-FI are getting swell heads and egos.

It's being aired here at the moment and people seem to either not care
for it or love it. What's surprising is that ones that disliked it all seem to
be genre fans while the ones that liked it are people that don't usually
care that kinda stuff.

I haven't seen it (I don't have the channel) but I'm thinking it's accessible
to the mainstream but a bit repetitive to the scifi geeks.

The last time Spielberg did a TV series is the anthology titled, Amazing Stories. Of course this is in his Goonies year (pre Schindler's List). How is Taken compared to that 1980's NBC TV series?
