Sticky D&D Minis

I have been doing so repainting of my D&D minis and when I am done I spray them with a matte coating like I have always gone on my metal minis. Problem this time, is with all the plastic ones I have done they become sticky, gathering dust, lint, fingerprints, etc... I can assume the spray is reacting with the plastic.

Any suggestions?

Use another brand of spray varnish? I haven't heard anyone else complain about this, so I'd guese that its the particular brand.

your spray may have aged and settled a bit also, but I have not tended to work much on plastic minis

I'm curious about this as well. I primed my D&D Boardgame minis to paint and then ended up sticky as well. I was chalking it up to the type of plastic used since that primer (Krylon Flat Grey) didn't do that with my hard plastic or metal figs.

I have noticed when primed, the DDM / SWM get 'sticky'. I assumed this was the paint or plastic that makes the minis.

Will the problem bleed through multiple coats of sealant?
