The modules improved as the line aged. We played the hell out of Orient Express, and I recall Ace of Clubs and the mini-campaign in the Companion to be a pretty decent freeform investigation (I ran the latter yet only read the former). Still, tt would be hard to run a sequel to Lady in Distress!
 

Well- it looks like this thread has proven that d20 Modern has a pretty bright future.

Not that I wouldn't like to see more books from WOTC- but it sure looks like there's a lot of stuff coming out soon (*cough* check the publisher thread for my WWII books coming this year *cough*).
