Stone Age Tech Feat

Dragonstar has a feat that allows PC's to use high tech devices. Does 3E have an opposite feat anywhere? One that makes the user an expert in the use of stone age technology? Flintknapping, working with bone, hide, wood, etc... All the components of the world before the advent of the Copper Age.

I've got an idea for Druid Grove that uses no metals at all. Very primitive, almost caveman-like. Heavy use of animistic abilities.

Any thoughts?

I was looking for something beyond survival skills. Something from a person totally immersed in a pre-metal culture.

I want a character that could be dropped naked into their "home" terrain and thrive there. Being able to make their own tools, garments, weapons. Able to gather food, water, shelter and medical plants. I think I'm looking for something that would in essence be a Neaderthal's knowledge base.

I'd still call that a bunch of Craft and Profession skills.

Wilderness Lore. Profession : Herbalist. Profession : Hunter/Gatherer.

If you don't want to take Craft skills in Weaponsmithing, Stonecrafting, Tailoring, Pottery, and so on, you could try to persuade your DM to let you take a Craft : Stone Age Tech skill that would let you make a flint spear but not a longsword, a bearskin loincloth but not a ballgown, that sort of thing.

The only way I see a feat applying to it is something like Skill Focus, or a variant of Education that makes all Profession skills Class skills.

I agree on the Herbalism but Wilderness lore seems to fall short. I've always seen WL to be the ability to survive with the tech level you come from. Not the ability to recreate an entire tech level of the past. I know how to make a bowsaw style firestarter but I can't flintknap or properly brain tan a hide. I think WL would have some of the skills I am looking for but only a subset. I'm talking about an entire cultural mindset.

That's a good idea Hypersmurf. I think I was trying to "buy" this cheap with a Feat. The skill path looks like it makes more sense though. :)
