Stone Scrolls

Suggestion: instead of scrolls, call them tablets, and instead of spells, call them commandments. And give him ten of them.

RUNE CHUCKER!

As soon as I saw this my mind wnet RUNES

A Rune is a small stone onto which is engraved a single symbol which serves as the verbal part of a spell, the somatic part is the actual chucking of the runes. Say it takes approx 10 runes to make a 'scroll' now the Dwarven Rune caster chucks his runes hoping to cast Spell X he checks his Spellcraft skill and fails causing him to cast spell F instead (because the runes became confused!)

Actually a rune is the symbol, not the stone it's written on

Anyways, I like the idea of just allowing the basic scribe scroll feat to allow you to make scroll in whatever form you can write. Most of your primative humaniods arn't going to have access to paper. This way primatives scribe on rock, or bark, average DND tech scribe scroll on paper. And in dragonstar wizards scribe scrolls in computers.
