Howdy!

When you cast stome shape what is the actual basic area you affect? The spell description says 10 cubic feet (+ 1 per level) but what does that really mean?

Is it a 10 by 10 by 10 cube? or is it more like a 2.15 by 2.15 by 2.15 area? I could see it both ways so now I am confused.

Um...it means 10 cubic feet, +1 per level. So if you're 10th-level, 20 cubic feet. A cubic foot is a cube that is one foot to a side.

Is it a 10 by 10 by 10 cube?

No, a cube 10 feet to a side would be 1000 cubic feet.

Thanks foer the quick answer. I was pretty sure it was that way but reading the spell FAQ on the wizards site just confused me.
