A player in the game I play in is looking seriously at the Stonechild, for unknown reasons.
Now, we're 7th level. He'd be starting out as a 1st level character (ECL 6, 1 PC level). He'd technically have 3 HD.
Aside from the normal problems with being type Outsider (Earth, Extraplanar), including Dismissals and whatnot, there's a much more entertaining possibility.
A cleric with the Air domain can Turn him, since he's got the Earth type, correct? Would a 6th level Air Cleric Destroy him instead?
Can a cleric with the Earth domain rebuke or command him then?
If so, very funny, and I look forward to seeing the look on his face when he's treated no better than a common wight
