Hey Storminator,

Can't seem to email you, and the thread where you asked what TFT is has been shut down, so here's your answer:

TFT is The Fantasy Trip, the first RPG by Steve Jackson, the designer of GURPS. It's based on two microgames by Metagaming: Melee and Wizard. Each was very simple arena combat, Wizard including magic, and they were combined into an RPG with In The Labyrinth.

It's a very simple feat based system, and was the first RPG I played. It had a lot of innovative stuff, which inspired the Champions RPG, which in turn inspired SJ to make GURPS.

That's what I thought! I love that game. I still play melee every now and again; fast simple fun arena combat.
