Strange message in Redwood Scar

Frostmarrow

First Post
On the credits page of the newly released Redwood Scar-module from Goodman Games there is a rather odd item. It says:

A Special "NO THANKS" to Hurricanes Charley, Ivan, Jeanne and Frances for their persistant efforts in delaying production of this module.

I wonder, is this a joke or sincere? It seems strande to me to send a negative message among the credits.

You can download a preview (with the credits) here.

Sounds sincere to me. Who knows what the reasons are for such a thing. It must have been deserved though.
Oh... and the module actually looks pretty good.

Those were actual hurricanes that knocked out power and dumped lots of water onto the area the company is in so that production was difficult. Just a joke. :)

I believed they were actual persons, with "Hurricane Charley" being someone's nickname.

Mmmmh... Now if you think more about it, "Hurricane Charley" would make a really good name for a Strong hero in d20 Modern...

I believe that Dave Arneson lives in Orlando, so I can understand why they would have had problems. Hell, I'm just now getting my house repaired from the two storms we went thru back in September.

Trust me, for those in Florida and the southeastern US who went through those monsters, it was no joke. For a while there, it seemed that the powers that be wanted to smoothe that little panhandle right off the continent. :)

I was a little dissappointed that the first encounter in the preview was the archetypical "dying guy that can't be saved but imparts valuable information."

But... that's "old school"!
