LOL it definitely isn't just me but okay. History will judge this episode harshly too, as long as SNW continues to excel.I think that's just you. The episode seems to have been generally well received.
I've not really had this issue, as an agnostic raised among a lot of amazing religious people of different faiths (my parents are both atheists though) - but being accepting and tolerant of people of faith is not the same thing as accepting and tolerating harmful behaviours, nor does it equate to insisting all religiously-motivated behaviour must be legal/legalised. It's also worth noting that the British establishment has historically been wildly intolerant and hostile towards atheists, rather shockingly given the sheer number of them in the UK. A minor but rather eye-opening example is Thought for The Day, which through the 1990s and at least some of the '00s consistently broadcast religious figures of all Abrahamic faiths engaging in outright hatred towards atheists. I'll spare us the details (it's amazing what you can pack into 2min 45s), but it was wild, wild stuff. I assume they stopped at some point or the BBC would probably actually be in legal trouble. One thing I find difficult, as an atheist, is to have to constantly remind myself to be accepting and tolerant of people of faith.
