And the close-up of the watch had what I would consider a "foreboding" musical sting. So I think they intend to follow up on this plot thread in some capacity, though I wouldn't be surprised if they have no clear plans on when or how they'll do such.
I noticed that, but I don't see what difference it makes it not travelling into the future by the more conventional means of being stuffed into one of Pelia's boxes for a couple of hundred years. Did Pelia mention where she acquired the watch?

Now, a couple of Starfleet uniforms stuffed in the trash, on the other hand...

One thing that always gets me is character logic vs story logic. Is there any in-fiction reason why the Romulan agent in S02E03 would keep talking to Singh instead of just shooting her?
There was an impression that the Romulan agent was a bit unnerved, as if they had been at this a LOOOOOONG time.

Yep. She made a comment about being there something like 30 years. That would make it more likely she‘d simply fire and be done with it, not less likely.

I think that's just you. The episode seems to have been generally well received.

One thing I find difficult, as an atheist, is to have to constantly remind myself to be accepting and tolerant of people of faith.

That's okay, I'm sure for many people of faith the feeling is mutual. Tolerence is hard, it takes work, and dialog and debate and forgiveness, and the willingness to get back up and still try when one fails.

La'an is my favourite character in the show and this episode really cemented it.

She has depth to her character and the actress is so talented.

As someone who lives in the GTA the fact that Toronto got to be Toronto was cool.

The one weird thing that made me laugh was the idea of police profiling Americans, I've honestly never heard of that happening, but I guess its possible.

I got the impression from the episode that it was a hard sell, and probably wouldn't have worked if the cops hadn't had an urgent radio call (which, in retrospect, the Romulan agent probably arranged).

Wouldn't have happened at all if it wasn't being shot in Canada, where people just know that we can recognize American's on sight ;)
