In the Munchkin card game there's the Casting Couch which allows you to cast spells like a wizard when you lie on it.

That's a good one.

Kinda makes you think who won the great Spell-Casting. Probably Magic Missile, the little bitch :]

I think I played the Nintendo version of that game!

yup me too - it made us groan at first but it was fun...

actually after finding the hammer we went down a few tunnels and came out into the mushroom chamber. When the mushrooms rushed us we tried to fight until we realised that we weren't hitting them whilst we were taking damage. The DM started humming the Mario theme tune and thats when we clicked (and groaned) and started jumping on their heads

Okay, it's RuneQuest again, but I was just reminded of another oddity: we had a shaman in our party who had a geas against riding an animal. We ended up getting hold of a magic saddle. Didn't improve your ride roll - the saddle floated along by itself without any beastie underneath it. So imagine a party of hardy adventurers on their sturdy steeds, being followed along by our scarred, one-eyed, reproductively-challenged (he had some other geases, too!) shaman bobbing merrily along behind us on his mountless saddle.

When a new PC joined our party, he had an animated teddy bear. Kids loved to play with it. The thing is that he was a necromancer and the teddy bear had an animated skeleton of a human baby inside.
