Trailer Stranger Things 5

Excellent needle drop here, even if they don't get to the most famous parts, with Freddie Mercury going all-out. Still, this lets '80s kids know that some of these '80s kids won't be making it to the final credits.
With the obvious aging of the cast, they should have had this take place in 1991, not 1987. That way, they could still use a Queen song instead of the one from Highlander--Show Must Go On, which I think would be more of a fitting song.

Yeeeeaaaah, that's not what "Hungry Like the Wolf" means, in that context ;)

More "Wild Boys" I think...

"The wild boys are calling
On their way back from the fire
In august moon's surrender to
A dust cloud on the rise
Wild boys fallen far from glory
Reckless and so hungered
On the razors edge you trail
Because there's murder by the roadside
In a sore afraid new world

They tried to break us
Looks like they'll try again..."

I forgot how long ago that was released. Thought it was later. I saw them at The Concert Hall, in Toronto, the summer of '82. Something happened that could have been right out of a show like "Stranger Things." A group of girls who had come to the concert from Buffalo, NY, created a "flying wedge", with one of them in the centre, and forced their way to the stage so they could throw a rose to Simon Le Bon. It was truly surreal.

Yeah, we saw how well that worked out for Eddie.
The thing with Eddie though, is that they had no idea he would become so beloved. I recall an interview where the creators regretted having so little screen with between Eddie and Chrissy (the cheerleader). They filmed those scenes at the end and didn't realize how much chemistry they had. A lost opportunity for that arc to develop.

I've never worked in television or movies, but it always amazes me when that stuff isn't picked up on set, since with Eddie, the audience pretty much loves him from the second time he appears and it's clear he's not the jerk people say he is.

With the way that shooting and editing works, you never really know until it's all in the can. They generally shoot all the scenes that take place in one location all at once. So all the mall scenes at once, all the Upside-Down scenes at once, and so on. Then they get cut into the appropriate spots later on. So you aren't actually seeing anything in context of the overall story.

I guess, but people working in theatrical productions can see when there's chemistry and charisma. They also often rehearse out of order and, for much of the time, without costuming, make-up or sets.

Maybe looking at all of this stuff through screens and watching for the technical aspects of it all during filming makes it harder to focus on the performances.
