Submission tips?

Do they accept submissions for race articles and that sort of thing as well, or just adventures? The impression I get is that they take both, but I'm still brushing up on the guidelines and may have missed something.

Dungeon has the Creature Incarnations articles, like the one for Living Spells in #175. I'm not sure if the Ecology articles are still going in Dragon since they re-focused Dragon as exclusively player material.

Thank you Herreman :)
I don't begrudge the RPG Superstar judges - they had some brilliant entries.

So I decided to clean up all these old brainstorms and bits on my laptop and make them into submission worthy material.

I'm going for 36 submissions (of all types) in 36 days, so by the end of April.

So far I've submitted 22 articles. Woohoo!

Over on Critical-Hits.com, former WotC staffer Chris Sims offered up some advice on submitting DDI articles, and he used a bullet-point style.

Highly recommend this. I took Chris' advice to heart and feel the style and organization it engenders makes for a snappy submission, which I think is pretty critical.

FWIW, it worked for me - I just got my first article published on March 31 - the Sages of the Swan Tower :)

tyrlaan Congrats! :) Do you have a link to that Chris Sims article? My format, for what it's worth, is to give a snapshot at the top with 3 cool feature of the article, then the full submission below.

Thanks! I was surprised Chris Sim's format is light on flavor and certainly doesnt show off Chris' writing chops. I wonder if this format would be as good for writers new to WotC?
