Subscribers receiving Dungeon 111?

Just be glad you don't live in Europe. From what I understand, when Paizo bought Dragon and Dungeon, some EU privacy law kept them from being able to get the subscribers' addresses. They just had to cancel on everybody in Europe. I guess they resubscribed or something.

I live in Europe and I've been subscribing for about three years now. Somehow I always subscribed from America. I never had a subscription that came from the UK. I can't really recall how or why that happened. Anyhow, when the problems with the EU privacy law started my subscription was not affected. Everything went fine untill halfway through last year when they stopped mailing them through air-mail and started sending them out through surface mail. Since then issues take two-three months to arrive or do not arrive at all. They've already had to send me replacements quite a few times. The first time I needed about 8 emails before I got an answer from customer services. Since then that has improved a lot and now they fix things fairly quickly.
I guess they changed from air- to surface-mail to reduce costs. I wonder if the reduced costs of surface-mail make up for the costs of having to send replacement issues all the time (which do get here fairly quickly).

Right now I have the following issues floating somewhere on the Atlantic: Dragon 218, Dragon 219, Dragon 220, Dungeon 209, Dungeon 210, Dungeon 211. I know most of them will get here eventually, but it's a long wait.

No, I think it is an overseas thing when I don't even have 110 yet and you guys are complaining about not having 111.

Cordo,

if you don't get 110...let me know. like i said i ended up with 3 copies. i'll set one aside for you.

Yikes. Sorry I didn't notice this thread until now.

As Jeremy said in his email to one of you, there's some sort of SNAFU that's delayed delivery of subscriber copies for Dungeon #111. As I understand it, it's been taken care of and all issues are on their way to you now. It will not affect future issues of the magazine.

I can't speak to the issues of bad overseas delivery, but will be sure to bring it up at a future meeting and see what can be done.

Thanks for your patience, everyone.

PS> I suggest those of you who mentioned not liking the direction of the magazine check out issue #114, which will debut a revamped format for Dungeon. I think many of you will be pleased.

And many more will be enraged. Such appears to be your lot in life, Erik. Every adjustment makes some happy and some mad. You are an agent of balance.

[Hey, what's that next minigame gonna be, anyway? Can't get enough of them minigames...]

Laugh point for you Cordo!

Strangely enough there are no problems igetting me multitudes of "Please resubscribe!" mailings. :\

I hear ya. I live in the states and while I regularly received late those pesky "your subscription is about to expire" always seem to get through. I like many others have been less than pleased with the quality of Dungeon and have let my subscription lapse. I was a faithful subscriber but I never saw as many printing problems as I've seen in the last few years. The quality of adventures are not that well. I do find a gem occasionally but not enough to make me want to stay a subscriber. When I get those 'reminders' in the mail I want to write back and ask, "Why should I resubscribe? Make me want to."

Nostalgia's not enough with this 30 year thing. The Wilson era I think is what killed it for me.
