Suggest a PRC for a druid

Well, I'm the DM actually - the Druid in question belongs to one of my players. The problem with just doing a multiclass is that she will incur xp penalties. I know I could waive my "rule 0 wand" and do away with that but I have other players who have human characters and that would not be fair to them since freer multiclassing is one advantage to being human.

Keep those suggestions coming. I'll suggest verdant lord to her but I don't know if it fits into her character's concept - I think she sees her character more as an elven xena/beastmaster hybrid I may just do something homebrewed.

Like I said d12, that's the best I can come up with for a combative druid. Certainly she won't lose any of her animal companion abilities. She just won't gain anything further either though.

The only reason I DIDN'T suggest incarnate is they are kind of more like Shifter, only they don't LOSE spellcasting ability like Renewers do. In fact they get a little better since they gain domains as well as the ability to spontaneous cast from them.

If you take Mounted Combat and Ride-By Attack, you can qualify for Hospitaler, a Defenders of the Faith PrC, that provides full BAB, +1 Spellcasting per level, ability to Turn Undead, and Fighter Bonus Feats. The flavor isn't Druidly, but it has all the mechanics you're looking for.

Not sure his player would go for it. I personally still push for Renewer since it's STILL a combat monster along with druidic/ranger abilities. (Favored enemy, can cast spells while raging). Those kinds of things.

Queen of the Forest

What about Queen of the Forest from Masters of the WIld? That would make her more combat-oriented and still have woodsy angle.

I would have never thought of that...

Ooooooooh! She has a large wolf she could ride too. Might be very very cool.

I'll suggest this as well.
