Suggestions for multiclass

Quote: "Are you kidding?!? Do you know what orcs and hobgoblins do with "the purty ones"?

*shudder* "

They usually try and fail.. But hey in Scotland we wore dazzling evening gowns and blinded the enemy...

If you don`t want to lose XPs due to multiclassing, only wizard (Elf`s Favored Class) or a Prestige Class are options. Or to stay what you are :)

Oh my GOD! I see what you have done - where is your Use Magic Device Skill - Don`t say you did not take the skill!
If the answer is yes, you didn`t take it, continue bard, and get all of your next skill points into it. (7 without any house rules on Use Magic Device, and 1 on Perform.. This will give you a +11 modifier on your use magic device check. Not very good, but at least a start. Add Cloak of Charisma and Circlet of Persuasion for results)

With Use Magic Device and some money you have all the variety you need - get a Wand of Shield to enter melee combat, a Wand of Magic Missile or Fireball for "ranged spell combat", and some scrolls for the rest. (Don`t forget you can use a Wand of Cure x without having to roll, since the spell is on your spell list)
The most useful wand might become a wand of polymorph self (okay, with the errata it might be weaker)...

Well, if you don`t want to continue bard, you might really consider some levels in wizard, and then qualify for Virtuose. Add your Spell Caster Levels granted from the class to your wizard class, so that you "end" at least as a 11th level wizard in spellcasting power... This will give you an enormous versatility - and now, you don`t need Use Magic Device, because your ability scores and caster levels will be could enough to use most scrolls - and wands will never be a problem, you only need to have the spell on your spell list...)
