Suggestions for multiclass

I have an elf bard lvl 8. I want to be multiclassed but I don't know which class I should become. I hope you'll help me.
This my stats:

STR 10, DEX 10, CON 12, INT 18, WIS 15, CHA 18
FEATS: point blank shot, precise shot, quick draw
armor class 13
longbow composite +1
42 HP, base attack +6, +1/longbow +7,+2
SAVING THROW: fort 3 ref 6 will 8
chaotic good
SKILLS: alchemy 12, bluff 8, craft (bowmaking) 8,decipher script 9, diplomacy 13, disgise 8, gather information 8, heal 6, intuit direction 6, listen 12, perform 15, sense motive 6, spellcraft 15

I'll jump in with the obvious answer: Arcane Archer. Take weapon focus: composite longbow at 9th level (too bad you took quick draw at 6th, actually), then you can jump into the Arcane Archer class at 10th.

Almost tailor made for you, from what I can see of the character concept. I'm sure someone will be along soon with other suggestions, naturally.

Don't multiclass take the Virtuoso PrC from SnS instead.

hmmm... i would actually suggest sticking to bard but if you must multiclass...

Arcane Archer is a good suggestion. a cleric of an elven god might be also (depending on your character concept).

if you took a level of fighter Spellsword might be neat. channel those charms through that bow!

and of course there's Virtuoso, the prestige class made for bards & sorcerers.

As you know, it's not really multiing when you take a prestige class. That assumes you take another core class.

Well, yes, from a pure minimaxing point of view, the Virtuoso is definitely what you want. I was thinking in terms of the character concept you seem to have put together, a 'charismatic light-magery archer' of sorts. A 'performer' bard would definitely want to look at the Virtuoso, a 'sage' bard the Loremaster, an 'explorer' bard the ... drat, what was that PC from Song & Silence? Well, anyway, you get the idea.

Bards are the WORST class to multiclass.

That being said if you really must take a class make it a prestige class like mentioned before. Preferably the Virtuoso or maybe Harper Mage if in the FR. Something that gives you spell levels and if possible also keeps your Bardic Knowledge going.

Fighting doesn't seem to be your thing, and taking a new spell casting class would only result in you having little spell ability in a new class when you could be getting better spells for the class you already have (read : Bad idea).

I think you are also ready for the Dragon Disciple if that's your kind of thing...

But the Arcane Archer or one of the Bard specific PrCs is probably the best route.

Or, Just stay a Bard... buck the trends... go against the grain...
