Suggestions wanted: Lvl 15+ _non-dungeon_ scenario?

After DMing Axe of the Dwarvish Lords followed by City of the Spider Queen, I'd be grateful for suggestions of good non-dungeon scenarios starting at level 15 or 16. Apart from the non-dungeon requirement, almost anything goes (outdoor, city, politics, murder, ...). Lack of Drow NPCs considered is a plus ;)

Many thanks!

Well, I can see you do dungeon crawls. To get out of the dungeon, you need a world. And suggestions of that sort are pretty campaign specific. So, what sort of world do you have/want to have?

I really enjoyed Throne of Iuz in Dungeon Magazine #118. It occurs mostly outdoors and is set for Level 14, but it is pretty easy to bump up to 15. No drow either, but tons of orcs and one
really, really big toad
.

The Druids of the Woods of the Infinite is encroaching on farmlands. Go deal with them.

Many thanks for the suggestions so far! To be a bit more precise, I'd be grateful to pointers to published scenarios/modules (any edition), not just ideas. These days, I simply lack the time for fleshing them out :( .

We've been playing on Faerun for the last few years. I placed the Axe of the Dwarvish Lords at Mirabar and the Dordrien Crypts from CotSQ near Nesme (using a gate in the Underdark to get the characters to Maerimydra).

These are just two examples. I've so far managed to insert all of the various scenarios we played into my copy of the Realms without major disturbances, thus I am not set on modules playing in a certain setting.

How do you feel about the transversing the Planes? I mean that's always a kick for high level PCs.

I don't have much Planescape experience (besides the computer game), but that is certainly one option. Do you have any specific suggestions?

I've just read through that and I wouldn't put 4 15th level characters through it. There are 7 encounters of EL13+. Assuming no reinforcements from other areas. A party of 6 maybe - two fighter / rogue types, two clerics, a mage, and a bard. The last encounter says it's EL18, but I'd put it rather higher.

Quartz,

Eh it's not THAT bad. ;)

Gnorr,

Well you could always run For Deity and Duty. There's a free PDF version of it on WotC's site. Plus it's nice to use Graz'zt in FR. ;) Just might have to tweak it since it's 2nd edition. But no worries.

*two*

Actually, that shouldn't be that much of a problem: I have five players, and they might be bumped up to level 16 if necessary.

Thanks for the pointer, that sounds interesting (Grazzt is an old favorite of pre-Faerun campaigns :) )

The original adventure doesn't actually let you face Graz'zt (unless he captures you) :( , but you could probably use an aspect or weaker kind of avatar from FC1 as a reasonable challenge for level 15 PCs. (I don't have the book, but I know people complained that the demon lords had low CRs, maybe it would work.) Anyway, I haven't run this one, but I'd like to someday and would love to hear how it turns out!
