Sunblade w/ Weapon Finesse

Check your PHB. Every "Light" weapon is listed as "Light" in it's description (not the damage & cost table). I don't believe the Short Sword is considered "Light" though I could be wrong as I don't have my PHB with me. If it is in fact a "Light" weapon then sure, you could use the feat.

Almost none of them are.

Even a dagger is not listed as 'Light' in its description.

Light weapons are defined as such by appearing on the table in the 'Light melee weapons' section.

A short sword is a Light weapon.
