Super Bowl Commercials-The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I think my favorite commercial this year was the Coca Cola's Stewie vs. Underdog, with the long-suffering Charlie Brown for the win!

The Toyota Sequoia ad with the Big Wheel MX race was a very close runner up.

Overall I thought this years ads were kind of a disappointment. I liked the FedEx carrier pigeons, Charles Barkley for T Mobile had some great bits in it (I don't want to look fat in High Definition) and the Stewie/Underdog Coke ad was also good, but nothing really struck me as a great, creative ad.

I was expecting Lucy to snatch it away at the last second....

When I watched this spot online, I noticed that Lucy's in it!

Just after the Charlie Brown balloon appears, there's a shot of a girl in Central Park...in blue, with dark hair, holding a football.

Very cute inside joke. ;)

I think she was supposed to be part Lucy Van Pelt, part Natalie Wood from Miracle on 34th Street (which features the Macy's parade and all those balloons). I thought that was a nice touch too. :)

The Balloon battle for the coke made me smile.

The car ALMOST running down Richard Simmons made me laugh.

Justin Timberlake getting the everloving crap beaten out of him made me cheer. :D

I also enjoyed the Wall-E trailer, the Taco Bell commercial, and the Terminator Robot vs Fox Football Robot bit.
