super secret symbols and the cult of rpg(concerns us all)

I've had an orange d20 (The same one that comes with the "Dungeons and Dragons Dice Set" thing) on my keychain for months, never even got a second glance :(

Hrm. Well, that wouldn't really bother me. It's not like I'm advertising to the public, but rather looking for that secret symbol that others would recognize.

If I were to put my keychain on the table with a d8 attached to it, assuming you noticed, you would know right away that something was up and that I knew something you know too. Like about d8's. :)

I want D&D related t-shirts and there seems to be few of those around that aren't just general fantasy-ware. Something witty, like that NPC shirt. But in black. I like black. :)

ok, checked it all out, looks like i can do a basic one for about $1, is there enuf interest to try this? i am willing to pony up the front if i think i can get enuf response. to get a price like that i am looking at about a 500 unit print run.

btw, that $1 uincludes shipping (in the u.s. of a.) what do you folks think?

ooh! ooh! me want! me want!

If you can get them (bumper stickers white lettering on a black background: I.R.P.G) for a buch each (1.50 Canadian I suppose), you can consider me as down for 10 of them.

How about just a white oval with a black border, and the black leters RPG. I see those little ovals on every single car, but for cities or states. It would blend in, but then again, it would stand out if you were looking for it.

I love this idea. I think we need a symbol that we can readily use for bumper stickers, windows, notebooks, etc., as well as a secret handshake. C'mon - the Freemasons have one, why can't we? Just think, the next job interview you go to, you feel the warm grasp of a fellow member, and know you have an "in".

As for the symbol itself, I love "i.r.p.g.", but think it's a little obvious. Why not go for mystery? We could do that while giving a big shout-out to our co-founder, Gary Gygax, if we use this:

E.G.G.

No.

I want a symbol or phrase to indicate that I'm a gamer, not a follower of Gary Gygax.

What Droogie said, plus the fact that we don't want newbies to the hobby who don't necessarily know of the symbol at first to be left out. At least if they see one that says IRPG they'll figure it either has something to do with Role Playing, or they'll just say it does. That way, even if they're not "in the know", they're still a part of the RPing community.

Mothers and Sisters

How about a simple "Free Kevin" That'll keep the man guessing. Decoder rings are available for $19.95 US (No Canadian Pesos, please) and one immortal soul (title required, signed in blood, originals only, and no pets, offer not valid in some states).

Cool where do I send my money. I can have the title to my soul FedExed if it will help hurry the process along. :D

And Airwolf, if you don't stop putting pictures of my mom, and or sisters in your sig, I will not be held responsible for my actions.

Kimbo, Kimbo, Kimbo you should really be thanking me. I only post the PG and a few PG-13 pictures of your female relatives. I keep the R and above all to myself. BTW your mom looks great in a thong. ;)

How about on one of those Euros bumper stickers. The oval ones with different stuff. There are some sites out there that will make them.

I really like that one. I made some examples below...
