Super Special Secret Gaming Event

From the feedback both the other dm and I have gotten so far it was a smashing success- everyone had tons of fun, it was universe-shaking for both of our campaigns, and the reverberations will be felt for... well... at least imc, for as long as the world survives. :)

Stone Angel, we planned long and hard to pull this off. We had to arrange it so our groups would be of roughly equal power, so that we'd have laid trails of false clues pointing at each others' groups, and so that it all made sense in the context of both (very different) campaigns.

This was one of the biggest triumphs I've ever had as a dm.

DM Worlds Collide

Yeah, just found the thread, and I'd have to say that game was pretty cool. In my gaming memory, it was only rivaled by our attack on Farenth, attack on Mezolock (I mean, Mega Co . . . ) and our more recent attack on Acererak, the Demi-Lich.

My highlights from the game:

1) Using (abusing!!!) a commune spell to fix a 10 to 1 bet and then watching nearly everyone go nuts after we won. Biggest shopping spree ever!!! (My characters won about 800K, though OmRob's Sybele won over 1 mill!)

2) Watching the reation of our other gaming party (highly good, principled party) when told that we could hook them up with a "sure thing" bet. (Reaction = Shock, then Confusion, then Interest, then an overwhelming sense of Greed!!!)

3) Time Stop followed by 3 Spheres of Ultimate Destruction, one of which crit a Pit Fiend for 80d6 damage.

4) Inoeke's one round knockout of Asmodius. (Hey Brain, don't forget who set you up on that one by getting rid of his Epic Wards via Disjunction!)

Anyone interested in reading this tale? It's now fully posted in my story hour Great Conflicts. The party's trip to Hell starts getting crazy (ending in The Cliffhanger) here.

Enjoy! :D
