Superhero CRPGs

I was wandering does anyone know if there are any stand-alone, non-MMORPG style superhero CRPGs out. The gameplay should be good, able to create your own hero and advance him/her through the game. No Marvel or DC or any other "published" universe for the CRPG.

Your options are Freedom Force and Freedom Force 2 and...

The good news is that Freedom Force is really good.

The bad is that, as noted, it's the only real option for a non-MMO supers game.

Speaking of Freedom Force, anyone know what happened to all the user-made skins and meshes that used to be -all over the place-? I was recently playing it again just for fun, and I couldn't find all that cool stuff I had the first time around...

i liked freedom force, but i preferred Hero X by Amazing Games LTD.

Freedom Force was cool, but amazingly worked quite well with the Pregens.

it is rather old though (I think FF2 came out in 2003 or 2004?). It uses an older Champions Edition for the powers, and while you can create your own character, there are mostly pre-gens to play, and you can only use one of your own characters I believe.

Both Freedom Force and Freedom Force vs. The 3rd Reich are awesome!

The first game was released in 2002, while the second was released in 2005.

My only problem with them is that no one ever seems to be online for a multiplayer game.
